Tapping Service at Dipak Sales is used to create specified internal threads in metal components for fastening and assembly. The operation is important when a component must accept a matching threaded part with the thread size and form defined by the customer drawing.

Tapping is one of our listed machining services and can be combined with drilling and other operations when a component requires a complete sequence of machined features. Production is based on customer drawings, specifications and required quantities.

Threaded Holes Made to Specification

A tapped hole is a functional feature rather than simply a drilled opening. The thread needs to correspond with the specified mating fastener so that the component can be assembled correctly.

Thread Verification

Our company profile lists thread plug gauges, thread ring gauges and thread measuring equipment among the available inspection resources. These tools support verification of applicable threaded features against the required specification.

Materials and Machining Requirements

Dipak Sales works with ETP copper, aluminium, phosphor bronze, lead-free brass alloys, low-lead brass alloys and copper alloys. The material and component geometry are considered together with the drawing when planning the machining route.
